About Us

 

Hey Everyone and welcome to my Website. My name is Apolla and I am a 17 year old curly girl, who founded Aquacurl in 2022 at the age of 16.

This is a curly hair business, where I create and make my own curly hair care products by hand and scratch. 

​

From a young age I always remember Sunday being the hair day, where my mum would cornrow my hair, ready for school the next day. But from that came all of the tugging and pain, to me wanting straight hair so I wouldn't have to deal with it all, and I'm sure many of you have thought the same thing.

But we have to learn to love our hair, no matter the texture, the way it looks or feels. We have to learn to love it and take care of it the right way. 

With that in mind over the past few years I have become very interested in the hair care game, trying out different products, learning about different oils, what is good for your hair and what is bad. That is why I have come to create AquaCurl so I can make curly hair products which will moisturise your hair instead of dry it out like various products I have come to try.

 

Each product is filled with Aqua (water), butters and oils to help create those beautiful curls/coils

HOW I CAME UP WITH THE NAME

​

Since young I have loved the water, Swimming in the sea or pool, just being around water fills me with a different kind of happiness. Even from the sea my favourite colour is now turquoise. So what better name than AquaCurl
